E.C.A.T. (European Committee for Audiology & Technology) is a technical workgroup created within the A.E.A. is composed of six members, practicing hearing aid fitting and two advisors, elected by the General Assembly. To enable ECAT to get a fast information exchange, one ECAT contact is also assigned for each member country not having a ECAT member.
ECAT worked on the these project during the last year
- reviewing the AEA recommendations
- prepare new recommendation for hearing care professionals
- preparing new standards for the hearing care professional
- evaluating how the AEA is functioning
- reviewing the content of the AEA communication
- fast feedback on changes in regulatory and other aspects of professional hearing care in Europe
- preparing the document for the European Parliament – hearing awareness days (See attachment)
